How Do I Delete Mail Without Reading It In Communicator?
If for any reason you wish to delete mail without reading it, then it is a simple procedure.
In the normal 3 pane or 2 pane view in messenger, there are two downwards pointing triangles between the subject and text area (where the message will usually show up).
Clicking on the triangles or the line in-between them will extend the subject window all the way to the bottom of the messenger window.
You can now click on a message to highlight it and it will not appear.
Click on the triangles (which will now be pointing upwards) to return the text window.
Note: Most viruses CANNOT be transmitted by email alone. It is the attachments that harbor the virus. You can open the mail, but not the attachment and you will not be infected.
