Typical Source and workarounds of Mac Type 11 Errors
1) System-related
System: System 7.5.3 or later is recommended for every PowerMac. Open Transport: Version 1.1.1 or later will improve. PPP: FreePPP or OTPPP? Get the latest version and switch between them. Any other program has been installed recently? If so, try custom installing full components of Navigator. Some files such as ObjectSupportLib may have been replaced. 2) Web-related.
3) Plug-in related.Gif files: Try Auto Load Images off.
LiveAudio: At least in some PowerMacs, it causes type 11. Remove the plug-in and try again. If a plug-in is offending, substitute it with a different one that supports the file format. Allocate more memory to Navigator in the Get Info window if you want to use a lot of plug-ins. 4) Java and JavaScript related.
Disable them in Preferences and see if it helps. 5) Hardware related.
If your Mac is listed under Apple's repair extension program, getting repair may help.
Check if your RAM and Level-2 CacheRAM are securely plugged in the socket. If possible, try without Level-2 CacheRAM. 6) Miscellaneous.
Avoid interrupting download of image files. Corrupted data can be hazardous. Get a good ISP and latest driver for your Modem. Remove extensions that are not absolutely necessary. For more info, visit:
