Ghost Dialing
To prevent your PPP connection from unexpectedly dialing:
If you're using FreePPP, uncheck "Allow applications to open connection."
For Config PPP, check Disable Auto Connect in the Config PPP control panel. With older MacPPP versions that have Hard Close and Soft Close, use Hard Close. (Soft Close allows applications to open the connection after you've closed it; Hard Close doesn't.)
