Mac - Why are my Mail and Posting Times Wrong?

Problem Symptoms: Why are my Mail and Posting Times Wrong?.
Solutions: If you have System 7.5 or later, open Control Panels|Date & Time in the Apple pull-down menu. In the Time Zone section, check off Daylight Savings Time if applicable. Then click on Set Time Zone, and select a city in your time zone. You may need to reset the time once you make the correction.
If you have System 7.01, open the Map Control Panel. Type in the name of your city, then go to Time Zone and type in your correct relationship to GMT. Click the + box if you're ahead of GMT, and click Set.
