Problem: Netscape 7 won't launch after reinstall of Windows, restore of previous registry, or install/reinstall of Netscape 7 (or Mozilla).

You've tried running the Netscape EXE file directly and you also tried running the Profile Manager, without success.

Solution:

-Uninstall Netscape 7 using Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
-Uninstall Mozilla (any version) if installed.
-Restart the computer.
-Delete the C:/Program Files/Common Files/mozilla.org/GRE folder....THIS IS IMPORTANT!
-Delete the leftover Program FilesNetscapeNetscape folder if it exists, and all its contents (save your Plugins folder, if you wish, to a backup location). -With your antivirus program disabled and all other programs closed, reinstall Netscape 7 using an offline installer, such as the one available here:
