I've tried to do everything in the help listing, but I'm apparently not doing something right.
It was FINE on Thursday night when I went to bed and an error message Friday morning when I got up.
I've cleared ALL the history for the site, I THINK the cookies are enabled, but I really don't know how to tell...
I told the "history" to remember, like the instructions said, but I still get a site error.
I can log on from Netscape with absolutely no problems. (I sure miss Netscape) |

"Netflix Site Error
We were unable to process your request.
Please go to the Netflix home page by clicking the button below."
This occurs no matter where I type netflix.com or enter from a yahoo link or from an inbed link from an e-mail.
The old Netscape browser has no trouble getting on.
It was fine on Thursday nite when I went to bed and off when I got up on Fri. AM.
Thanks. |

Exactly where on Netflix did the error occur and what did you click on or try to download, etc. The home page comes up here with no problems using Firefox 3.6.6 |

I enter nextlix.com and get return error..... Netscape gets in just fine.
I just don't understand.

First, make sure you have the latest version of Flash installed by going to:
http://www.adobe.com
Click on "Get Adobe Flash" and go from there.
Then try Netflix again.
If that doesn't do it then it sounds as if you have an extension installed that is causing the problem.
In FF, go to Tools => Addons and disable all extensions, try Netflix again. If it works then you will have to re-enable one extension at a time to see which one is the problem.
Also please tell us what version of Windows and Firefox you're running. |

Done.... No Luck!.
Running 3.6.6.
I did all you suggested, so went back and reinstalled the original 3.6 with all the attendant updates....
Same error.
I'm lost!

In your XP .. Make sure that FF is not running, then:
Start => All Programs => Mozilla Firefox => click on Mozilla Firefox (safe mode). Then bring up Netflix and see what happens.

Create a new profile and see if Netflix still comes up with the error.

Hi Uncle Duck....
A new profile where? Firefox? Netflix?
Sorry to be such a pain, but I'm concerned that if Firefox can do this for Netflix, can it do it to other sites that might be more important?
THANKS SO MUCH.

Ok, did that, and it connected to Netflix fine.
However, I lost ALL my Bookmarks and Passwords in that profile.
Is there a way to migrate the information from the old one to the new????
Or do I literally have to start all over?
(Just re-naming the old profile didn't work)
You really are a sweetie....

You haven't lost anything, your old profile is still there with everything.
Easiest way to transfer your data from old to new is to use MozBackup:
http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/
Install it and then choose what to backup. You don't want to backup your entire profile because something is corrupt causing the Netflix problem. Backup ONLY what you want to save and then "restore" it to your NEW profile. |

Thanks...
Did all that.
Only restored:
General Settings
Passwords
Bookmarks
Cookies
Still get same error.
This is absolutely the craziest thing I've ever encountered!!!!
